Renovation of Victorian residence of approx. 250 sq.m/2700 sq.ft.  The property dates from 1855 and was in use as a series of bed-sits prior to works.  The house has a contemporary make over while retaining original period features including the elegant marble fireplaces, replica ceiling plasterwork, new double glazed traditional style sash windows, new efficient gas heating system, wiring and plumbing upgrade.  The rear return was demolished and replaced with highly insulated walls, floors and roofs.  A woodchip potbelly stove was fitted in the kitchen.

Nicholas Sweeney obtained the planning consents, Fire Safety Certification, tendered and project managed the works.
